The Waxwork a short story by A.M. Burrage

A. M. Burrage
From The Penguin Book of Horror Stories
The Waxwork
(1931 correct me if I am wrong)

Synopsis:
A journalist spends the night in the murderers section of a wax museum with disastrous effects.

Notes:
Not amazing, but good and creepy, and I love the wax museum subgenre of horror.

Best inadvertently funny line: “I can walk about in company downstairs as unmoved as if I were walling among so many skittles.” Taste the rainbow.
